(Vychodna, July 3, 2008, Anton Oberhauser) – In a couple of hours, voices and tones of the greatest folklore festival in Slovakia will resound under the Krivan Mountain. On Friday July 4th, the first evening of the 54th Folklore festival, Pavel KRUPA, mayor of Vychodna will accept from the hands of Jaroslav JARABEK, General Manager of Inzinierske Stavby a symbolic key from the open-air theatre. The building, which represents a strong impulse for preservation of unique traditions in these modern times, is finally ready.

The Second Stage of the Kosice Galeria Business Centre in Spring Next Year

(Kosice, 22 February 2007) – At present, the construction of the second stage of the Galeria Business Centre at the Kosice Terasa housing estate is being prepared. The Inzinierske stavby, a. s. Company, member of the Colas Group, has won the contract scheduled for March with a completion period of one year. The newly constructed business centre will include a department store, warehouse, arcade shops and a parking garage. Apart from the shops it will also attract visitors with leisure time activities, such as, a bowling centre or a cinema. The second stage of the business centre, similar to the first stage, will significantly shape the face of the busiest part of the Kosice downtown being situated directly on the interface between the “new” and the “old” town. The Inzinierske stavby Company will also reshape both Brectanova and Laborecka Streets within the construction process.

Roundabout intersection construction in Michalovce will help solve long-standing accident rate issue at traffic junction

(Michalovce, 24th January, 2008) – Inžinierske stavby, a. s., a member of COLAS Group, has commenced the construction of intersection on I/50 road with the ceremonial tapping at the foundation stone at the presence of the Minister of Transport, Posts and Telecommunications of the Slovak Republic, Ľubomír Vážny. In the region, the intersection located south of the town centre and connecting this first class transit road with Lastomírska Street and third class road heading to Lastomír, has been long known as the traffic junction with a high accident rate. The Slovak Road Administration, the Investment Constructions and the Road Administration Košice are construction employers, Dopravoprojekt, a.s is a designer and Inžinierske stavby form Košice has won the tender and became a contractor.

Motorway gate to the High Tatras open

For a long time underfinanced section of the D1 motorway is a Christmas present for road users. (Mengusovce, 11 December 2007, Anton Oberhauser) – Today, the Važec-Mengusovce section of the D1 motorway below the High Tatras opens. The section is delivered to road users by the construction contractor, the Inžinierske stavby, a.s. company, a member of the COLAS group. Today only its part – a half profile is opened. By October 2008 the 12 222 m long section will be delivered in full extent - all four lanes. But already today we can say that the northern part of the D1 motorway has been remarkably extended in the High Tatras region.

Trucks from Poland driving towards the south will soon stop crossing Svidník

Thirteen years of effort made by the people from Svidník finally bear fruit. (Svidník, 27 November 2007, Anton Oberhauser) – Today, the R4 Svidník Consortium, the members of which are Inžinierske stavby EUROVIA – Cesty, and STRABAG, starts construction of a bypass around this district city. This is the place where the R4 expressway connecting the Hungarian and Polish borders will lead through the two largest cities of East Slovakia. Under the leadership of the investor, the National Highway Company, the bypass is supposed to be finished in May 2009. Better times are coming for the transport in the north-east of Slovakia. Thirteen years of effort made by the people from Svidník finally bear fruit.

Tunnel Bôrik below the High Tatras drilled through

The key moment of the D1 Mengusovce – Jánovce construction. (Mengusovce, 11. December 2007, Anton Oberhauser) – The first finished double-tube tunnel on the D1 motorway will be the 996 meters long Bôrik tunnel in 2009, a part of the D1 section Mengusovce – Jánovce. The ceremonial drill through of the tunnel was made today by the Swiss company Marti Contractors Ltd. that is a member of the consortium building the motorway under the leadership of Inžinierske stavby, a. s.
