(Košice, December 17, 2008) – The third reconstruction stage of the Prešovská-Sečovská junction in the Košice town shall be handed over in a ceremony for utilization in attendance of the State Minister of Ministry of Transport, Posts, and Telecommunications of the Slovak Republic Mr. Milan Mojš. A company of Slovenská správa ciest, as a provider, shall be handed over the completed construction work by the implementation consortium of the companies of Doprastav, a.s., Bratislava and Inžinierske stavby, a.s. Košice as a member of the COLAS group. The last reconstruction stage of the junction shall conclude a longstanding period of designing the complicated traffic junction on the outskirt of the town centre and concurrently complement the last absent segment of the town speed bypass road in the direction of north-south. 
In recent years, the reconstruction of the junction has become transport construction of the highest significance in the self-governing region of the Košice town. The final – third stage had been implemented from September 2006 and in the course of the construction several changes were inevitable to be performed such as a design completion of a dangerous intertwisted section in the direction of towns of Prešov and Michalovce where a new bridge object was completed. Construction works amounting to SKK 500m, exclusive of VAT, were covered by the state budget. Inžinierske stavby, a.s. realized substantial part of overall volumes particularly by construction of the bridge objects, roads, abutment walls and realization of the engineering networks. The works were performed under conditions of uninterrupted traffic flow, which made the construction procedure considerably complicated. 
In spite of changes having occurred during the construction process and arduous conditions, the implementation consortium accomplished the works with minimal deviation from the original schedule. Current passing through the junction is remarkably safer and more continual for the drivers.
