Východná Festival

The folk Festival in the village of Východná has been organised already since 1953. Thanks to the festival the village has become a centre of Slovak folk culture. In 2007 the festival received a new stately building built by the Inžinerske stavby, a.s. company, a member of the COLAS group. We are glad that in this way we helped promote Slovak folk culture and present it also to foreign visitors.
Architect Igor Karkošiak created a project that is linked with the historical traditions of Slovak vernacular architecture that you may admire directly in Východná and surrounding regions. Funding of the construction and related infrastructure was ensured by the funds that Slovakia obtained from the common European funds.
