The Inžinierske stavby, a. s. company ranks among the most important construction companies in Slovakia. The amount of the annual turnover, which exceeds 10 billion Slovak crowns, and the average number of employees that exceeds 1400 persons make us the second biggest company in the Slovak building market, and we make all efforts to strengthen our position.The resume of our business activities, which we have been developing for over 55 years, includes constructions works the value of which reaches tens of billions of Slovak crowns. We focus on civil engineering, building engineering, and industrial engineering as well as on watermanagement constructions and provide all-in delivery of construction projects and works.

Profile of the Company
Inžinierske stavby, a. s., an incorporated company, provides all-in delivery of construction projects and works in the area of civil engineering, building engineering, industrial engineering and watermanagement constructions. We develop our activities throughout Slovakia and in the building markets of the Czech Republic and Hungary.
The strong point of the Inžinierske stavby, a.s. company is the ability to implement construction projects to their full extent on a turnkey basis, as a general contractor. We are backed by the capital strength and extensive experience of our foreign investor – the French group COLAS. The fact that it is an important player in the international building market significantly supports the stability and prospects of further development of our company.
The production programme comprises especially the following types of construction activities:
- Roads, motorways, airports, and railways,
- Bridges and grade-separated interchanges,
- Buildings and industrial construction projects,
- Gas lines of all types, including welded pipelines with large diameters, and construction of compression plants,
- Water mains, heat lines, water reservoirs, and water processing plants,
- Sewerage systems and waste water treatment plants of all types,
- Waterworks and realigning of water courses.
Our incorporation into an international structure means the exchange of professional experience and transfer of new technologies developed in the Paris Development Centre. Close cooperation extends possibilities of our own development centres as concerns the application of new knowledge and participation in the development process. We bring progressive and demanding technologies to Slovakia, which are not only efficient but also ecological. As one of the first building companies in our market we started to supply cement-concrete pavements that increase the safety in tunnels and contribute to the high quality of motorways. We use progressive cold technologies to lay asphalt mixtures that are environmentally friendly. The plant-based binder VEGECOL, which was granted the Award of Innovation at the 23rd World Road Congress in Paris, ranks among the important achievements of the COLAS group’s research and development program.
