D1 Motorway - Fričovce bypass

The Fričovce bypass is a part of the D1 motorway. It is a continuation of the bypass around the village of Široké – from the motorway junction up to the eastern edge of the village of Fričovce. The bypass is actually a motorway with full profile. The section contains bridges that are dominated by the bridge spanning the valley of the Kopytovský brook situated close to the village of Fričovce. The bridge was built using the free cantilever concreting method. The Fričovce bypass has significantly contributed to a decrease in the accident rate, an increase in the quality of road connection, and improvement of the environment in this region.

Ľavobrežná motorway feeder, II. stage – Košická, Žilina

Completion date: 2003

Construction of the II.stage of the highway feeder Ľavobrežná – Košická Street started in the north-east district of the city of Žilina. The purpose of the project was to build a road that would smoothly and safely lead the traffic through the urban area of the city of Žilina. The most important structure of the project is the grade-separated interchange connecting to the Cyril and Method Street by a continuous reinforced concrete bridge. The construction involved the relocation of underground services and construction of sidewalks and pedestrian crossings with handicapped facilities. The structure was built under the demanding conditions of continuous traffic.

Motorway Behárovce - Branisko

Completion date: 2003

Within the D1 motorway section of Behárovce – Branisko that contains also the Branisko tunnel, Inžinierske stavby built a motorway section, bridges, motorway exits connecting to the I/18 road as well as the motorway section leading from the eastern portal of the Branisko tunnel to the bypass around the village of Široké. Due to the fact that only the southern tube of the tunnel has been completed, only a half profile of the motorway have been finished so far.

Motorway D1 Ladce – Sverepec

Completion date: 2008

The Ladce – Sverepec section of the D1 motorway is a part of the motorway network in the direction of Bratislava – Žilina – Košice. The most important structure within this construction is the Pružinka bridge that spans the valley of the Záborovský brook. The motorway route over the bridge is designed in a horizontal curve. The bearing structure of the bridge consists of two, as to expansion independent, parallel bridge structures with different cross section widths. The rest area of Beluša on both sides of the motorway was a part of the construction.

II/548 Medzev, road rehabilitation

Completion date: 2002

The construction project is situated in the urban area of the town of Medzev, it is a through road of II. class type leading via a built-up area in both directions: rehabilitation of the road improved the directional proportions, width arrangement of the carriageway and remedied the emergency condition of the existing road surface.

III/520 19 road rehabilitation - Oravice – Zuberec

Completion date: 2005

A part of the original III. class road did not meet the requirements concerning its width and height. By rehabilitation and new construction of this road these parameters were improved. Construction project involved also bridges, relocation of underground services, planting of new vegetation, and reclamation of temporarily occupied pieces of land. By executing of the proposed modifications there was improved the smoothness and safety of traffic, and reduced the negative impacts of the traffic on the environment around the construction.

III/06815 Prešov, Kuzmányho street – gen. Svobodu street

Completion date: 2004

The road between Kuzmányho street and generála Svobodu street is situated in an urban area of the City of Prešov. It ensures direct interconnection of the Sekčov housing estate, the town centre, and industrial zones of the city. The construction project is designed as two lane road that includes also a bridge over the Sekčov river. Construction of the road involved also a water drainage system for family houses, service road for a military exercising ground, and relocation of underground services.
