Roads, motorways, airports, and railways

Construction of roads and motorways ranks among the most important activities of the company and accounts for 65 up to 70% of the total production program. During its existence the Inžinierske stavby, a.s. company has built over 50 km of motorways, mostly under relatively hard climate and terrain conditions. Currently, we are building the following sections of the D1 motorway: Mengusovce Jánovce, the section 0,000 to 8,000 km with the Bôrik tunnel, the section Važec - Mengusovce, and the section Svinia Prešov West. In the Czech Republic it is the Bělotín Hladké Životice section of the D47 motorway. After their completion, the total length of these sections will reach approximately 47 km.
Besides the construction of motorways also construction of roads, city roads and bypasses as well as their rehabilitation represent an important part of the company's business activities. These are often built under full traffic conditions, which means high demands as to organisation and thorough work scheduling.
As concerns the construction and reconstruction of airports, our portfolio includes the reconstruction of the Poprad airport and the extension and modernization of Košice airport.

In the area of railways the Inžinierske stavby, a.s. offers also the construction of tram railways. The company has built, for instance, the two-rail electric railway leading from the Terasa housing estate to the premises of a steel company U.S. Steel Košice, s.r.o.
