Projects concerning sewerage systems and waste water treatment plants serve to connect households to sewerage systems and to solve the issues associated with the waste water produced by industrial enterprises. About 98% of Slovak households should be connected to sewerage systems by 2015. But in 2004 only 18,2 municipalities had their own sewerage systems and WWTPs, and the rate was even lower in the east of Slovakia.
