Bridges and grade-separated interchanges

In the area of construction of bridges the company specializes in the construction of road and motorway bridges from reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete. The following three technologies are mainly used to build bridges:

bridges built from longitudinal prefabricated girders of the IST 97 type that are used for spans from 9 up to 30 m, and of the I-96 type for the spans from 24 up to 42 m,
technology of concreting on fixed scaffolding
free cantilever concreting method, as one of more recent methods, is used for bridges with medium and large spans ranging from 60 up to 120 meters.

The variety of executed projects by us is evidenced by the following structures:

Motorway bridge “Pružinka“ situated in the Ladce – Sverepec section of the D1 motorway was an extremely demanding construction especially as concerns its foundations that were built in ground consisting of running sand. The bridge has altogether 44 pillars and 4 supports and is over 900 meters long. The bridge built in a vertical and directional curve creates only one expansion unit of a remarkable length.

A motorway bridge, built by our company next to the village of Fričovce within the Fričovce bypass of the D1 motorway, comprises seven spans and has a bearing construction from the post-tensioned concrete and separate bearing structures for each direction. Owing to its architectonic solution the bridge has become a dominant feature of the countryside. For the first time in Slovakia we successfully used here a new type of French concreting formworks ERSEM – ISK, which significantly speeded up the concreting of individual segments.

The historical steel bridge of Mária Valéria in Štúrovo ranks among the projects within which the Inžinierske stavby, a.s. company ensured reconstruction of abutments, pillars, and reconstruction works on reinforced concrete deck.
