Buildings and industrial construction projects

Buildings and industrial construction projects are among more recent activities of our company that the company started to develop especially after the political change in 1989. Development of the region resulted in the demand on the part of business and industrial companies. The Inžinierske stavby, a.s. company welcomed the new production program that represented also a replacement for the previous, gradually phased out pipeline programme.

The area of building construction primarily involves construction of buildings related to civil amenities, and office buildings. We built, for instance, shops for Hypernova, LIDL, and NAY store chains. The business and servicing centre for the German company PEMA was nominated for the Building of the Year award in 2002. Our other projects include the business and servicing centre of Phoenix Zeppelin in Šaca, a building for the Poprad branch of the National Bank, reconstruction of office buildings of SPP, a.s., U.S.Steel, a.s., Východoslovenská energetika, a.s., and the Technical University in Košice. The reconstruction of the historical buildings determined for Všeobecná zdravotná poisťovňa and the Constitutional Court situated in the centre of Košice laid special demands on precise execution of work.

The most important industrial construction projects of the recent period include a production hall for the galvanizing line of the U.S.Steel Košice company. With its height reaching 65 meters at the highest point, the hall ranks to be one of the highest production halls of its kind in the world. The hall was built during a very short time, only 6 months, and therefore required a 24-hour mode of work while facing extremely hard climatic conditions and temperatures reaching -20 °C.

The oil tanks for the Transpetrol company built in the villages of Budkovce and Bučany rank among the interesting structures. We built compression plants in Jablonov nad Turňou and Veľké Kapušany for the SPP, a.s. company, and a production hall for the SCA Hygiene Products Gemerská Hôrka company. We cooperated in the construction of industrial parks in Spišská Nová Ves and Poprad.
